It is vendor management software for the outside contractors you pay: before a job is booked it checks whether a vendor is already under contract, after the job site staff rate the work, and the invoice is checked against the contract. MaintainX records that a work order closed; Evalystar records whether the vendor earned the money.

Evalystar is built for vendors you do not employ, where the questions are contractual: are they already covered, did they perform, does the invoice match. Today jobs are logged in Evalystar directly; syncing jobs from a CMMS through an API is on the roadmap, so there is no native MaintainX integration yet.
